This page explains how to permanently delete your Chessie Puzzle account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from within the app:
- Open the Profile tab
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation message carefully
- Type DELETE to confirm
- Tap Permanently Delete
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.
What Gets Deleted
- Profile information: Username, email, and avatar
- Puzzle history: All solved puzzles, ratings, and session records
- Statistics: ELO ratings, streaks, storm scores, and time attack records
- Cloud data: Your profile and synced data in our backend (Supabase)
- Local data: All data stored on your device
What Is Retained
- Purchase verification tokens: Anonymized records of your in-app purchase are retained for fraud prevention and service operation. These records are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
What If I Only Want to Stop Using the App?
If you don't want to permanently delete your account, you can simply uninstall the app. Your data will remain on our servers in case you return. You can also use the Clear All Data option in Profile settings to wipe local data without deleting your cloud account.

Recovery
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you wish to use Chessie Puzzle again after deletion, you will need to create a new account and start fresh. Your puzzle history, ratings, and progress will not be restored.
